Painting for Pleasure Art Exhibition 2024 in the Royal Priors, Leamington Spa

Hosted by the Painting for Pleasure charity, this exhibition showcased the diverse artistic talents of its members, including disabled individuals, those living with or recovering from illness, and carers seeking respite and connection. The array of artworks, from intricate drawings and vivid paintings to stunning silk pieces, not only demonstrated the members' artistic skills but also conveyed their personal journeys and the therapeutic benefits of creative expression.

The inspiration drawn from a recent visit to the Makers through the Ages exhibition at Compton Verney was evident in many of the silk artworks above, adding a unique and thoughtful dimension to the display. Silk painting is new to the group and they enjoyed the process.
Each piece was a testament to the resilience and creativity of the artists, reflecting their individual stories and the collective spirit of the group.

Above are banners that the group are painting for the Folk Festival 2024 in Warwick.

Visitors left with a deep appreciation for the artists' efforts and the meaningful work of the Painting for Pleasure charity. The event not only highlighted the therapeutic power of art but also strengthened the vibrant community spirit of Leamington Spa.

The exhibition was generously funded by the National Lottery Community Fund, whose support made this uplifting event possible. We extend our heartfelt thanks to everyone who attended and supported the artists. Your encouragement truly made a difference, contributing to the continued success and growth of this remarkable community initiative.
